The Leather: Horween® Dublin

Dublin is a full grain, vegetable-tanned leather made by Horween® in Chicago — tanned with the same tree-bark extract blend as their legendary Shell Cordovan. It deepens in color and builds a rich patina with use, and keys or coins only add to the character.

FAQ

Does it travel? Yes — unsnap the corners and it packs flat in a suitcase, then snaps back into shape at the hotel.

Will keys scratch it? They'll mark it — and those marks burnish into the patina. That's the leather doing its job.

Those little scuffs are the start of a beautiful journey called patina – where your leather develops a unique character with wear. Think of it like a fine wine aging to perfection.

    Most minor scuffs buff out with your finger, and everyday use actually helps polish the leather. Horween® leather is packed with natural oils, so you don't need to condition it right away. After six months or a year, give it some love with our Tanner's Blend conditioner (made by a master tanner!). A little goes a long way – just use a dab and a soft brush to keep your Ashland gear looking its best.
