Designed as a spacious "bucket" briefcase, it strips away the layers to get you closer to the hide. With no internal lining or dividers, it offers a more casual, rugged silhouette that stands upright while maintaining a supple, broken-in feel.

Inside, you’ll find the stained and finished "rough-out" side of the leather, a deep Color 8 finish that matches the exterior and showcases the natural character of the hide.

A Note on Character: Horween® Chromexcel® is a waxy, "pull-up" leather designed to tell a story. It will dent, scuff, and scratch with ease, quickly developing a beautifully worn, high-character look unique to your journey. This is not a defect. It is the hallmark of the world's most famous heritage leather.

    Horween Leather: Embrace the Scuffs (and the Patina!)

    First time with Horween leather? You might be surprised how easily it picks up marks. But don't worry, that's a good thing! Those little scuffs are the start of a beautiful journey called patina – where your leather develops a unique character with wear. Think of it like a fine wine aging to perfection.

    Most minor scuffs buff out with your finger, and everyday use actually helps polish the leather. Horween® leather is packed with natural oils, so you don't need to condition it right away. After six months or a year, give it some love with our Tanner's Blend conditioner (made by a master tanner!). A little goes a long way – just use a dab and a soft brush to keep your Ashland gear looking its best.
